There is NO registration fee to participate in the SPARC of Hope Walk/Run.
The Walk/Run Will Take Place rain or shine. (Rumor has it that it will be perfect weather again this year!)
ALL participants must have signed the waiver on- line. EVERYONE is welcome to walk/run. Any participant five years and older is required to register for the walk. If you did NOT do so, please plan to stop by the new registration table when you arrive. Registration table will be open by 7:15.
You may pick up your participant bag (and if you qualified to get a shirt, it will be there as well) beginning at 7:15.
Please bring friends, even if they didn't get to pre-register, all are welcome!
The start of the run will be at 8 AM. It is a measured and marked 5K course. No official run times will be kept; however, there will be a clock at the run’s finish line.
Walkers will start after the 9 am speaker and welcoming remarks. Please plan to come early and have some coffee and a breakfast treat.
Directions are below and from Route 15, please look for signage to lead you to the farm entrance.
Please plan to bring a picture or write a note to remember and honor your loved ones. These may be shared and seen on our memory wall.
SPARC Volunteers will be in white shirts and have lanyards on identifying them as such. Please look for the florescent name tags to identify those SPARC volunteers who can help with further information or support if needed.
A small number of t-shirts and hats will be available for a $25.00 donation on the day of the walk.
Pets are welcome at the location; however, they must remain on a leash and be walked by an adult.
Waters and other drinks will be available at various spots along the path.
There will be goody bags available for the first 25 dogs checked in.
Donations by cash, check or credit card can be accepted.
Some terrain includes some gravel and earthen paths. Strollers, wheelchairs and other assisting devices are allowed.
Donations of any amount are accepted and no one will be turned away. People may continue to donate until December 31st of the walk year.
Feel free to make customized t-shirts for you, and/or your team. We encourage you to be creative and bring banners, signs etc.

Prizes will be awarded to the team raising the most funds and the team with the most members IN ATTENDANCE on the day of the walk/run. No team may win both prizes. If a team wins both categories, then that team Captain will choose the prize for the team (Memory bench for the team with the most money raised, a team lunch for the team with the most members in attendance). The second place team in the non-chosen category will win the that category’s prize.
From Interstate 64, take exit 136 (Zion Crossroads). Take Route 15 North towards Gordonsville. From the light at Wal-mart you will travel 3.3 miles to East Jack Jouett road, which will be on your right. Take that right onto East Jack Jouett Road and follow the signs to East End Farm.
From the Gordonsville area, you will travel Route 15 South toward Boswells Tavern/Zion Crossroads. From the light at Boswells Tavern, you will travel 3.1 miles to East Jack Jouett Road, which will be on your left. Take that left onto East Jack Jouett Road and follow the signs to East End Farm.
